Walter Lood

Born in Tartu, Estonia. From Germany went to England and from there immigrated to Canada. Has painted over 30 years. Lood considers himself very fortunate for having had two wonderful teachers: M.
Dollack and G. Otto. He likes to paint mostly landscapes and has exhibited many times at the Toronto Estonian House Gallery. W. Lood is a member of the Estonian Masters and has won medals on the federal and provincial levels. In 1975 Lood was a founding member of the prestigious Toronto Vintners Club. Other hobbies include writing poetry and evaluating handwriting. Enjoys working at his summer property near Bancroft. Works in many private and public collections in Toronto. Resides in Toronto, Ontario.

Sündinud Tartus, Eestis. Saksamaalt läks Inglismaale, sealt emigreerus Kanadasse. On maalinud üle 30 aasta. Tal on olnud kaks haruldast õpetajat: hr. M. Dollack ja hr. G. Otto. Ta maalib meelsamini maastikke vabas looduses. On korraldanud mitmeid ühe-mehe näitusi Toronto Eesti Maja Galeriis. On Eesti Masterite liige ning võitnud medaleid provintsi ja riiklikul tasemel. 1975.a. asutajaliige Toronto Vintners Club'is. Harrastab ka luuletamist ja analüüsib käekirju. Meeldib töötada suvituskohas Bancrofti lähedal. Tööd paljudes era- ja riigiasutustes. Elukoht: Toronto, Ontario.
