Olja Müller

An artist, environmentalist, biologist and planner who expresses her love and excitement for people and nature through watercolour, drawing and various other media such as oil, acrylic and clay sculpture, Olja Müller was born in a field beside the railroad tracks in Estonia on September 11, 1941, her birth being registered in Tallinn.

Müller immigrated to Hamilton, Ontario in 1949. She received an Honours B.Sc. in Biology from McMaster University and her Master of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto.

Her art training includes Ontario College of Art and Design Fine Arts Program, Toronto Water Society (TWS) workshops, Art Gallery of Ontario, Three Schools, Banff School of Fine Arts and private classes in the Netherlands.

Müller is currently President of TWS (1999-2001) and a signature member. She is also a member of the Society of Estonian Artists in Toronto (EKKT), the Estonian House Art Commitee (TEMK), the Willowdale Group of Artists and an associate member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour.

She has exhibited in juried shows with TWS, EKKT, Willowdale Group of Artists, Toronto Historical Board Marine Museum, Aird Gallery and non-juried group exhibitions such as Hamilton Folk Arts Heritage Council, TEMK, Riverdale Art Show, Neilson Park Creative Centre, and the Sunnybrook Hospital Volunteer Association. Müller has works in private collections in Toronto and Hamilton, Canada; Tartu and Tallinn, Estonia; Germany and Austria. She currently resides in Toronto, Ontario.

Kunstnik, ümbruskonna spetsialist, bioloog ja plaanitseja, kes väljendab oma armastust inimeste ja looduse vastu vesivärvi, joonistamise ja mitme teise vahendi läbi nagu õli, akrüül ja savi.
Sündinud põllu peal rongirääbaste kõrval 11. sept. 1941 Eestis, sünnikohana registreeritud Tallinn. Emigreerus Hamiltoni, Kanadasse 1949.a. Lõpetas bioloogias B.Sc. kraadiga silmapaistvalt (Honours) McMasteri Ulikooli, Master of Science (Planning) Toronto Ulikoolist.
Kunstikoolitust saanud: Ontario College of Art, Design Fine Arts Program, Toronto Watercolour Society (TWS) kursustel (workshops), Ontario Kunsti Galerii, Three Schools, Banff School of Fine Arts ja privaatkursustel Hollandis. TWS president (esimees) (1999-2001) ja allkirjaga liige. Järgmiste ühenduste liige: Eesti Kunstnike Koondis Torontos (EKKT), Toronto Eesti Maja Kunstikomitee (TEMK), Willowdale Group of Artists; Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour ühendatud liige.
