Felix Kalle

Felix was born in Viljandimaa, Estonia, in 1922, and now lives in Calgary, Alberta. He has had an interest in painting since childhood, and is completely self-taught. Felix started painting regularly soon after retirement.

Impressionism is the source of his paintings, and in order to avoid any photographic results, all of his paintings are compositions - mostly of landscapes. His medium is oil, using a pallet knife.

Felix is presently an active member of The Calgary Sketch Club and EKKT, and has had success in various group exhibitions in Vancouver and Calgary.
