Ene Falkenberg

Born on November 2, 1914 in Pihkva, Estonia. Studied painting and sculpture at the Pallas Art Academy in Tartu, Estonia (1936-1938 and 1941-1943), and at the State School of Fine Arts in Tallinn, Estonia (1938-1941). Member of Federation of Canadian Artists. Has exhibited since 1939 in Tallinn, Stockholm, London (Ontario), Toronto, New York, Whiterock (British Columbia) and Vancouver. Founding member of New Canadian Artists in Toronto in the early 1950's (now known as Colour and Form). Works in permament collection at Lund University in Sweden, Delta Municipality, Mormon Museum in Salt Lake City, Utah, the San Francisco Wax Museum, the Tokyo Wax Museum, and the Estonian House in Toronto. Also has works in many private collections. Winner of many awards for painting and drawing. In 1996 exhibited in EKKT group exhibition in Tallinn, Estonia. Won jury "Theme Award" in 1997 at EKKT Exhibition "Canada". One-man show in February 2000 at Estonian House Gallery in Toronto. Lives in Toronto, Ontario.

Sündinud 2. novembril 1914 Pihkvas, Eestis. Oppinud maalimist ja skulptuuri Tartus "Pallases" (1936-1938 ja 1941-1943) ja Riigi Kõrgemas Kunstikoolis Tallinnas (1938-1941). Esinenud näitustel alates aastast 1939 Tallinnas, Stockholmis, Londonis (Ontario), Torontos, New Yorgis, White Rockis (B.C.) ja Vancouveris. New Canadian Artists in Toronto asutajaliige viiekümnendate aastate algusest (praegu Colour and Form).

Töid permanentses kogus Lundi Ulikoolis, Rootsis, Delta Municipality's, Mormoonide Muuseumis Salt Lake City's, Utah, San Francisco Vahamuuseumis, Tokyo Vahamuuseumis ja Eesti Majas Torontos.
Võitnud mitmeid auhindu nii maalimise kui skulptuuride eest. Paljud tööd ka privaatkogudes. Esines EKKT grupinäitusel Tallinnas, Eestis 1996.a. Võitis züürii teemaauhinna 1997.a. EKKT näitusel "Kanada".
Personaalnäitus veebruaris 2000 Toronto Eesti Maja galeriis. Elab Torontos, Ontarios.
