Anne M. Remmel

Anne Remmel is a Toronto-born artist educated at the University of Toronto and the Ontario College of Art and Design. She has augmented her formal studies by working with Christopher Shink, Carole Barnes, Betty Lou Shlemm and other American artists. Since 1983 she has had numerous one-woman shows and has participated in group shows with the Society of Estonian Artists in Toronto. Her works are owned in corporate collections e.g. Teleglobe Canada and Mazda, and by individual collectors in Canada, the United States and Europe. Her primary focus on landscape has been in watercolour and abstract works in acrylic collage. She has conducted workshops and developed summer art schools. In the Estonian community, she is president of the Toronto Estonian House Art Committee which promotes the acquisition and exhibition of works by Estonian artists.

Anne Remmel on Torontos sündinud kunstnik, hariduse saanud Toronto Ulikoolis ja Ontario College of Art and Design'is. Ta on edasi õppinud, töötades Christopher Shink'i, Carole Barnes'i, Betty Lou Shlemm'i ja teiste ameerika kunstnike juures. Alates 1983. aastast on tal olnud mitmeid üksiknäitusi, samuti on ta võtnud osa grupinäitustest koos EKKT-ga. Tema kunstitöid on paljudes ettevõtete kogudes (Teleglobe Canada, Mazda) ja individuaalkollektsioonides Kanadas, Ameerika Uhendriikides ja Euroopas. Tema peamine suund on maastikud akvarellides ja abstraktsed teemad akrüülkollaazÿides. Ta on juhtinud workshop'e ja arendanud suve-kunstikoole, Eesti ühiskonnas juhtinud Toronto Eesti Maja Kunstikomiteed selle esinaisena, et koguda Eesti kunstitöid ja esitada neid Eesti Majas.
